Another hint on the plant I used to have...

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9b)

Fuzzy leaves, small thistle like flowers...not bachelor buttons...more compact...growth tended to be leggy and drooped and swept back up...I thought it was Jamaican Buttons or Spanish Buttons...but tonight this popped into my head,,,Brazilian Buttons...yes, it was Brazilian and I think Buttons...now if one would just pop up in my garden, I'd be all set! Any other ideas?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Brazilian Bachelor Button, Centratherum intermedium: http://www.desert-tropicals.com/Plants/Asteraceae/Centratherum_Manaus.html

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Or Mexican Bachelor Buttons, Centratherum camporum.

Here are the PDB entries for both: http://plantsdatabase.com/b/none/Centratherum/

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9b)

Yep...Brazilian Bachelor Buttons...see, it's true...several heads or more are better than one! Thanks!
