Journal statuses

Vicksburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Am I the only DG member who has a "dead" status for plants in their journal?

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

LOL, I'll have to add it to mine! then there will be two of us at least!!!

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

Not at Daves, but in the lists I keep on my computer I have several entries labled "didn't make it"

Thankfully, I haven't needed to add it since I'm journaling at Dave's. I haven't killed anything lately ... but I've only been here a month
;)

hehehehe, no you're not the only one...anyone who has gardened for any length of time has experienced the painful departure of beloved seeds, seedlings and plants :o)

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Hummn, think I'll call mine DAP or DAIP!
(dead after planting or in the pot)

We should do it so we can remember NOT to do it again):

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I have a dead status in my journal too. I have lots of different status's and have been thinking that I need to consolidate some of them.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Gee, I don't know - I think there's a valid reason to separate the dead status - was it homicide, suicide, or accidental death? Vehicular manslaughter occasionally happens around here if the riding lawnmower counts as a vehicle ;o)

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

LOL, Terry!
But it's a good point. I try to make a note of why things might have died.
This year we had close to 20 inches of rain in June, if some things die because of that, maybe I should try 'em again next year. On the other hand, if it dies because it can't take the heat, no point trying it again. If it dies due to vehicular homicide, well, maybe I should try it in a different location ... =)

My million bells died and they were doing so beautifully, then one morning, went outside w/coffee in hand, and they were all all dried up and bit the dust. I'm still not sure why, as I had them in different locations, and am puzzled.
Status...finished...just sounds better than 'dead' LOL
