I have never grown these. However, in getting my house ready to sell, I transplanted my large rosemarys which definitely did not like it, and I lost them.
My local wholesaler suggested 2 peegees, which I now have in the front beds. One is getting yellow leaves after being in the bed about a month; most of them are low and on the interior. Both get the same treatment although one (without yellowing leaves) gets more sun. They both get the same amount of water and MG.
Any suggestions?
PeeGee Hydrangeas
darius it has to be all that darn rain we received - almost a month!! But then again.... Is your soil alkaline?? If so, then chlorosis could be the cause which would induce yellowing of the leaves - an iron deficiency associated with high pH.
Editing to say that I did a search and found that using chelated iron will overcome this problem temporarily.

Thanks, Margaret. I had wondered about that possibility. These are in planter beds attached to the house, and very different soil from the garden. I'll check it out when I get back from taking my mother to her new facility.
Agree with louisa. Could be the soil is getting more alkalinity from the foundation of the house leaching lime into the soil, perhaps also the material used for the beds. Might try MirAcid as well, instead of MG?
