Hi,
I have a question. One of my Rose of Sharon Bushes has leaves that are turning yellow and falling off. It hasn't bloomed yet and I'm afraid that I am going to lose it all together. Does anyone know why this would happen?

How long ago have they been planted? They may be in shock or you may be over watering them. Water, but just keep em moist.
They may also need to be fertilized
It is several years old. You may be right about over watering. We have had record rain totals here in Tennessee.

rkier, it's water stress......once everything levels off, you will be just fine. Rose of Sharon can also be affected by Black Spot, the same as roses.

Thanks, you have answered my question about the leaves turning yellow. What I did with one of mine was because of the stress and the heat I went ahead and pruned it back about 2/3 and it is comming back beautifully in spite of the 100+ temps.I suspected I was overwatering, easy to do here in the desert.
