My magnolia bloomed in early spring, as it was supposed to and is now blooming, again. None of the others in my neighborhood are doing this. Does anyone know why this would happen?
My Magnolia is blooming, again!
reece it could be that your magnolia is a different cultivar. There are quite a few cultivars. Ot it could be that you treat yours with better care!! :-)
Reece, are you referring to a saucer magnolia and not the southern magnolia tree? My saucer magnolia has a big flush of blooms in the spring prior to any leaf growth. But it continues to have some blooms up until frost.
Nathalyn, I believe it is a tulip magnolia. The flowers look like tulips. They bloom once in early spring before leafing out.
Yes, tulip magnolia is just another name for saucer magnolia. Mine looks like this one.
