Spacing Cleome Seedlings??

How far apart should you plant Cleome seedlings for a fuller, shrublike effect? This is my first attempt at them and I would really appreciate some knowledgable help here.

Eyes,try 18inches apart,that should fill in nice for you.

I've got some, too, but last year mine was more vertical than wide. Does is depend on the variety or just on how you tailor it to its location? Thanks for asking this Eyes!
