I am glad you were happy with them!!!

I e-mail before bidding on some hosta and were told that they were NOT tc's or plug's but 1 or 2 eye's!!! After I won a few they e-mailed me and told me they were plug's!!!!!

I have to pay for them but feel that I was ripped off! I did ask before bidding so I would know the size!!

Oh, that's not good. If you have the e-mails, I'd contest it.

Yankton, SD was home of Guerny's. Could be renaments of that. They had terrible plants, at least 20 years ago they did, last time I ordered from them.
About headvases, just tell your friend to send it to me, I will take good care of it! Seriously, that one was sold in the 50's or 60's. Probably came from a florist with a bouquet. They are worth $35 & up now if not chipped or damaged.

There are oodles of them on eBay. Search for head vases. I've been drooling!

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Boohoo, they don't send to CA. Sure like some of those prices though.

Well at a $1.00 for a daylily-its worth the gamble!
I will let you know what they look like-they already sent the ones from ebay!

GW...we had one of those head vases when I was a young girl waaaaaaay back in the 50's. I still remember the color was torquoise and her ear rings, necklace, and ring were pearls too. I have no idea what happened to it....

GW, prices of those head vase have gone crazy! In this area, they are selling for well over $100 up to $200. When you consider they were made in Japan and sold for about 79c back in the 50's!!! Cannot even find them at those high prices any more. Very cool. I blame someone on TV who had an entire house 'wallpapered' with them on narrow shelves. Just pray Martha does not discover them.

Not a very good pic of this headvase, but this is the one my grandmother gave me years ago. It is in perfect condition too! Seems like I had someone here tell me it was only worth about $85.00 but worth way more than that to me!

I am drooling over those head vases! I have three coming to me from my Mother but she will keep them till she is done with them. I think they are really cute in all forms. But maybe with some of BS's brain cells from her co-op they could talk to us and tell us of times gone by.

Apparently, one of the most collectible ones is "Lucille Ball"......do any of you watch on A & E (The Incurable Collector with John Laroquette? E.

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

I just placed an order. It's worth the "risk" to me, too.

Thanks for cluing me in on this site. I just ordered a water lotus that looks like a poppy.......kind of orange-pink with large, fragrant blooms that last about 5 days. They will also send a catalog with the lotus. This place sounds great!

Oops.....sorry......posted to the wrong forum. The company I was reffering to is Waterlily/Waterplants.com. It is a great place with great prices for water gardening.

Well I was totally ripped off by these nut's!!!!!

After winning 9 auction's from them in March they sent me the "SO CALLED" hosta a few day's ago and not only were they smaller than a hosta plug but they have little or no root's on them!!!!!

They also sent along a print out stating they had crop failure and 5 of the Hosta that I won were not available.

Well I still have the e-mail I sent them asking about the size of their plant's and if they were tc's, bareroot or what, and I think that I will send it back to them along with their reply where they said each hosta won was a 1-2 eye field grown plant!!!!

I have never given negative feedback on e-bay but I do believe this place will be getting 9 of them from me!!!!!!
