And even more specifically, are any of you interested in historical beekeeping? My dad the beekeeper is going to (hopefully, anyway) be the beekeeper for Old Sturbridge Village, and he is researching beekeeping from back then...

Hi Cedar, it is so funny, I posted the same queston about 2 weeks ago, and got few answers.

I am interested in it, but have not started keeping them. We are in a new home, so I decided this year I would begin establishing nectar plants, and try to start next winter/spring.

I kept bees and collected pollen in Calif about ten years ago. Had about 40 hives. I now live in NC and just moved to the country and hope to get started again.
