Well sorta,
I stepped out of my door and thought "SPRING" , I got out of my truck and saw I left MUDDY footprints in its cab! I saw RIVERS of MELTED snow and saw the tips of my dafs and muscari and maybe? Tulipa Clusiana peeping up an1/8 of an inch. I saw BROWN today and a BLUE sky and my fig tree cutting has two tiny GREEN leves starting to open.
WHOOPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SPRING, PLEASE, SPRING, SPRING, SPRING PLEASE,PLEASE PLEASE!!

It's a GREAT feeling, isn't it???

At last at last!....We've had several sunny days in a row now, blue skies, and NO RAIN! The ground will be dry enuff in another day to set out my onion plants (and might as well go ahead and put in some lettuce seed, peas, and whatever else I can find that loves cool weather)! All yess, the aroma of fresh-turned dirt will permeate the air everywhere! Yee-hawww!

Springtime fragrances? I commend to you this truism:

An amateur gardener smells the flowers. But a true gardener smells... the dirt.

Aw shucks (he says whilst kicking an invisible stone to the side)...John, you say the sweetest things to me! ;>)

I'm a root-nose dirt pig from way back! Just can't help myself!

YES! Finally we are going to warm up around here. Supposed to be 50's-60's for the 10 day forecast. It's about time!!! Spring took it's sweet ole time this year. I even found a daffodil in bloom yesterday :) The yard is starting to dry up and I should be able to be out there digging in the dirt this weekend!

Jody I know you are glad for the break in the weather. We have had an extremely mild winter and a lot of rain. I think all of you had a lot of snow. I like to think it was cold enough here to kill the bugs but not cold enough to kill the plants.
