I know ladybugs eat aphids, but doesn anyone know if they also eat spider mites?

I don't think ladybugs will be your best defense for spider mites... although there are some species that eat them. The ones we commonly have around here don't. Preditory mites would be the best bet. Some of the organic catalogs sell them just for spidermites.
