It is new for me (hadn't even heard of it before), and I am just dying to give it a go! Can't seem to find any references to growing it, tho, only eating it (courtesy of Google -- Hortus ignores it, as does Wisley and my Herb books)!
It is listed as being a tender perennial, and that is all I have to go on! Not even a Latin name (sob sob) much less any important details, like how big? growing conditions -- light, moisture, etc.
Anyone ever grow za'ater?

Za'ater is Arabic for Thymus vulgaris (or similar Thyme species)

Aha!
This is a new (at least for us) variety of a helichrysum, or licorice plant. This one smells like thyme! I haven't seen it, but I heard back from the supplier.
Hoping that we will get it in the order next month...
