plant from lowes???

We went to lowes last night(go#48)and I found the weirdest looking vine plant growing in a Huge snail shell-the plant itself is growing in a wood plug in the snail hole-it has tiny lil red flowers and this great big seed pod-like a lima bean but 10times larger and puffy! It sure is neat looking any ideas??? No digital camera-no picture! =[

Maybe Hyacinth Bean Vine? -- although the flowers on that are more of a pink -- mmmmmmmm?

I know what it is Martha- let me think about the name. I purchased the same plant a few years ago. It's a tropical vine- rats. Let me check my old emails.

nope its not the Hyacinth Bean or the vigna caracalla vine.

datdog im waiting-its so different.
The flowers are like the top of a match-tiny lil red things and that pod is HUGE!!!!!!!

notmartha, I can't find the information ANYWHERE! It has a odd name and a google search will only produce a few results, the reason I new the name is, mine came labeled. I'll try and get it for you. I'm going to go and check my paper records. I do know that the seeds will germinate. It was a tricky one for me to keep alive- it died. I'll get back to you.

I figured it might be hard to keep alive thats why i grabbed the one with a seed pod!!
