Need help with Confederate Roses!

Hi, I've got two Confederate Roses that are in trouble. I'm not familiar with them, never tried them before. They've been in the ground about three months, went from sticks to five feet great. Had the annual battle with catapillers (sp?) and lost lots of leaves. Now they're both budding lots, each has bloomed exactly once, (one's a single, one a double) the rest of the buds just hang there and won't open. What do these guys want? It's driving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated!

Well, I have a lot of unopened buds also, but I was chalking it up to cooler temperatures. I don't guess that would be your problem. Maybe it needs to go dormant for a while. They do that naturally here, so maybe it just needs a rest.
