Owen, don`t be affraid. It is not your diabetic, that cause the flower to be blue. Your eyes don`t fail you. You are seeing correct. It was a bit blue. Its because it was a night photo.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Tonny, where do we find that one in the states? a beauty!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Poppysue, It should be working ok now.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Snow , , form won't let me enter anything in. I just tried.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

if you are still having trouble, please let me know. if you don't have email attached to your brower, it won't work. I'll add a link if the form doesn't work for you. I've tried it from 3 browsers, but it is a form that requires your email to be in the browser (not really sure what that is:) a link will be an alternative.
thanks all for helping me find any errors.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Arelene, why did you pinch the seed head off? what is the seedhead?

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7b)

Oh my, and here I had told myself, no more brugs, then of course I had to take a peek at your site, and I am drooling all over again. LOL, I guess I'll never get enough. Some of those are downright delicious looking. Keep up the good work and I for one am thinking of becoming a member. :)

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Arlene can probably explain this better than me - but sometimes when you plant the seeds, if you haven't removed the corky shell or if the shell skin is still on, the seedling starts growing with a cap on it. Trapping the new seed leaves. Sometimes it will break through on it's own but sometimes you have to help it along by removing it. It's delicate business - not hard but you have to mist and gently remove, slowly. You have to hold down the little stem with one hand and remove slowly with the other. To hard or too fast and you risk decapitating the new leaves. When that happens you can most often throw the seedling out. It needs those first leaves.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

thanks Miss Lizzy. I just got some special seeds and am going to pot them up!!!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Cumbaya is a wild x insignis form from Ecuador.

(Zone 6a)

Monika....is it the only blue colored brug there is?

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Wonderful site with beautiful pictures and lots of info. Thanks for all the hard work that was put into this to benefit all those that love brugs.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Owen, it isn't blue, just looks that way because it was a night photo. That is what Tonny said in his last post. Wish it was blue.

(Zone 6a)

Then why is it in here if it is not a true color? Shouldn't all posted brug pics show true colors; otherwise, how can we tell if we really like them if the pics don't reflect the true colors?? Are you understanding what I am saying? Quality control I guess is important to me....I don't want to order a brug on the basis of it's pic and then grow it and find out the pic was not a true representation of it's real color. Newbies may believe everything they see:) A good brug site should have quality pictures:) Just my non-humble opinion.....guess this will rile some feathers:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen, did you click on the thumbnail to get to the big picture? also, please understand I haven't seen this flower in person. So when someone sends me something like this, I have to use my best judgement in altering it. We have quality pictures, the thumbnails don't always show what's on the other side.
it's the same with pictures in any database, including the huge one here at DG.
unfortunately this isn't one we can order, wish we could.

(Zone 6a)

"sigh" I give up:)

gonna go find me a bottle of blue beer and get drunk:)

LOL Owen, have one for me!!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Owen, Cumbaya has white flowers.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen, doll. I'm taking you totally seriously. am trying to get the photo corrected where it appears true color. Please don't think I dismissed what you said:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen, try as I could, I couldn't get that one to show white:) so I put up a different picture of cumbaya. thanks again for the feedback:)

Owen, Monika is right. Its white. It last about 5 days in southern Denmark. The first two days, the venation of the flower and the adjacent areas greenish white.

(Zone 6a)

ok:) Am going back to regular colored beer though....got one heck of a headache out of that blue brew:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL!!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Owen, the only blue drink I've had was called a "Blue Bazooka" and it will give one a terrible headache!! Makes it hard to find things too(except maybe the floor, which keeps wanting to meet ones face, lol)

(Zone 6a)

LOL. Sounds like the name is appropriate:) Wonder if we could use that name for one of your brug seedlings? haha

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Ever tried a "Blue Lagoon". Its the kind that sneaks up on you, but oooohhhhhh so good.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Owen - I think if she came up with a blue brug she could call it the Queen of England if she wanted. LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Waterloolily, I think they are the same drink, very good, but really sneaky, lol.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Liz, I think you are right. Gosh, it would be great if someone could accidentally have a seedling bloom blue. I'd drink to that myself. Wouldn't even be cola.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugie, would it be a Blue Lagoon? Does anyone know how they make those?

(Zone 6a)

Tell me how to make a Blue Lagoon.....gotta have one!

If I get a blue brug, I'm keeping it secret:)

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

mix for Blue Lagoon ... http://www.webtender.com/db/drink/118 , is it party yet LOL?
hang loose and let's have a party... hehehehe

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Owen, I would try to keep it secret if I had one, but I have a terrible time keeping a secret!! Wonder if there are any bartenders here at DG?
