Liz, the citron plant is commonly known as Buddha's Hands. http://www.saalfelds.freeserve.co.uk/BuddhasHandCitron_nn4.htm
edited to add: it is commonly use to making citron candied peel. the same stuff use in making fruit cakes. it may look ugly but the fragrance at night, specially when in bloom is simply awesome.

SnowHermit--Very nice site! Not too much flash--Just beautiful brugs. Is the Cumbaya blue? Or is it just the Photo?
MaVieRose--Thanks for the other info on the Citron. For the last few years I've been trying to locate one of those here--no luck. I'll try Logees again.
Fantastic I added it to my favorites.
Snowhermit: Because the basic idea is similar, It would save alot of repetition if you could take over and include the ideas in my last posting: http://brugmansias.com/t/367211/
I knew a website like this needed to be built but there's not much point in haveing two of them!
Wow you did a great job! Site looks fantastic!
Bruno, more than one site is important! Tonny initiated this idea about a year ago, and it is more than a site, there are a lot of factors going into this, especially a cooperation in hybridizing which has become a passion for us. every time we got into organizing we got hung up, so finally just a few people jumped in to get it going. now the rest of us can join in and finish it. seed and pollen banking are a part of it, and trying to get that variegated culebra with double purple flowers is another!
and ms kell, the blonde club just has to be fun, i don't think i could stay away!
Looks great. You did a great job.
I agree Arlene. I would enjoy looking at Bruno's site just as much as this new site. I just looked at this one and tiG has done a nice job putting it together. She deserves a day off to rest.
Gosh, that sounds like you only get one day off tiG. Not what I meant at all. Enjoy your rest.

I think Ludgers site is great, maybe it's the European influence.
Cala, can you post the addy to Ludger's site? I don't think I've seen it. Would love to visit.
Very nice job and lots of beautiful pictures.
Great site guys - love the pictures!
excllent job guys!!1
I'm soo proud of you!
I know I am going blind from diabetic complications.....but am I the only one who sees lots of dark pics. ??
Owen
Owen I wonder if it might be your monitor? the only reason I mention that is because there has been a visitor that only has 65K colors on their monitor where 99% have 16M. that will make a huge difference for the person viewing.
I can only imagine all of the hard work, time, and effort that went into this... it looks great!
Thank you everyone.Yes, a lot of work and time went into this but it couldn't have been done without everyones help and cooperation. As time goes on I'm sure there will be wrinkles to be ironed out and changes to be made but most of all more information added to make it a better site. Everyones input is very important and appreciated.
Owen, the only picture that I see that is a little dark is mine of Mountain Mist but when it is enlarged it actually looks very true to color.
I will look at the pics on my neighbor's new computer....that will tell the story:)
Owen
Good idea Owen.
thanks owen, would love to hear back from you how it looks.
will let u know sometime today:)
I must say you all did a great job! You deserve a big round of applause. Thank you!
Just want to add one little note. This site is NOT meant to be competition for DG. We are all DGers first. This is our home here. The new site is an addition to showcase new and old hybrids and have some articles with pictures. The brug database here at DG is awesome and if I'm right, it's the biggest collection gathered on the net.
great site, you did a lot of work on it, and it shows. congratulations, it is a good site with lots of information on it.
Owen, i tried it on Netscape 4.75 browser, it does not work. it only showed page 2 with the main title. try IE 6 - it works. HTH
both sites are well done, and filled with info unique on their own.
Pics look the same on my neighbor's computer that they do on mine. Two of the brug pics show up blue also. Oh well....guess I am too critical, just wish pics were true to color and light enough to see:) Bet this will get me on some s...t lists:) LOL
Owen
Owen, Which two pictures look blue?
Cumbaya and Ida are both beautiful blue brugs:)
Oh Snow,very gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood.
I like it very much.
You did a absolutely good yob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I only had a short view to this side today because i had to work and to water my brugs.
We all ( all of us....smile ) in all Countries should work together and have a good informationexchange.
I would like to help you if I can( pictures, informations or something like this) please let me know.
GL
