nocturnal plant, what is it?

Not long ago I was given a plant with unusual elliptical leaves, small pointy tips, around 4" x 2" dark green with prominent red curved veins and lighter-green around central vein, and all-red underside. The leaves look limp during the day but perk up at night, thus uniquely suited to my own biorhythms, as I too am "limp" in the day but come alive at night. This is independent of watering status. It made some tiny flowers at one time. Anyone know what it is? I'm sorry I can't send picture.

Could this be a type of Begonia rex?

Hmmmm...now I just gotta know what it is.
Griffex, there are a couple pics in the Plants DataBase...see if they look familiar.http://plantsdatabase.com/search.php?search_text=begonia

It sounds like your plant is mixed up, as am I when it comes to being nocturnal. My first thought was the same as Wingnut, but mine never were nocturnal. Now I agree with Shoe, I must know.
