Sorry GranyLois even I have my limits. LOL! I don't think corn would go for me, but you try it and let us know. But now taters in chili we might have something there. YUM! "THUMP never heard from agian". I doubt that. You tater hater. Bad people are always heard from again. LOL! I'm going to call the United tater farmers of America and turn you in. You'll never see hash browns or mashed taters again.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, no, don't take the taters, I love taters! I love mashed taters, cream-seasoned and buttered and dusted with black pepper. I use any leftovers for a tater sandwich. I love fried taters, french fried taters, baked taters, scalloped taters, why, I even submitted a taters, onions and eggs recipe for the cookbook. I eat them cold, hot, plain or decorated. Tater salad, oh, boy, my DIL thinks I make the best. Taters in stew, necessary. For breakfast on a lazy Sunday, you bet. But some days it has to be rice.

...very good indeed, just not in a pot of gumbo...*snicker*

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

As good as these babies are, I think we should consider potatoes a fresh fruit and eat them raw...good for the potatoes and good for the gumbo!

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

Raw taters? EEEWWWWWWwwww

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

My first husband never met a potato he didn't like, nd he ate them like apples. It never appealed to me, but these juicy fresh potatoes tasted pretty good. Maybe there is a whole culinary facet we've been missing!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

This is bad, y'all. We are out of taters. This is not good! I want a baked russett tater...Sniffle.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

PO PO GW...if I were there I'd fix ya some good home-made tater soup. Or maybe some country-fried taters. Or maybe some mashed potatoes and gravy, with poke chops on the side. Nawww... how 'bout fresh-dug taters turned into french fries! Or maybe tater pie! Or squirrel and tater stew! Or, or, or...tater pancakes, topped w/sour cream! Yummm! Or maybe fry up some mashed potato patties, with sausage and eggs! Or, or....τΏτ (hehehe)
