I have a surplus of 2 kinds (colors) of lilies that grow
around our yard. These both have bulb and straplike leaves
similar to Amaryllis and white Spider lily. Both are heirlooms as starts came from my grandparents yard many years ago. Both grow to about three feet tall and multiply freely.Flowers last one day
but plants are loaded so there is a long sucession of bloom.
One is peppermint striped and outward facing. The other is a light lavender and downward facing. The lavender is very fragrant.
If I can find out what to call these I will be happy to list them for trade.
Help with lily ID
Gone2seed, maybe the pepermint striped lilly is a Crinum lilly. They are a very old lilly that lives in the south. Clumps of Crinums can live on long after the gardener who planted them is gone. Real popular with old gardeners. I have several from my grandmaws house.Bye, Lisa
