What to plant in morning sun only?

Chillicothe, OH(Zone 5a)

I have an area with kinda poor soil that only gets sun till about 11:00. Any suggestions for what might grow well here? I'm in zone 5.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL!!

Nett, lots of things will do well in these settings; look for plants that say "partial shade", and generally they will perform well. Things that I have growing in similar conditions:

Astilbe
Dicentra spectabilis and eximia (Bleeding Heart)
Digitalis (Foxglove)
Myositis (Forget me Nots)
Ferns
Hostas
Clethra (Spice Bush)
Chelone
Heuchera (Coral Bells)
Impatiens
Lamium
Perilla
Trillium
Phlox divaricata
Lobelia
Polemonium (Jacob's Ladder)
Artemisia

This is a hodge-podge of perennials, annuals and shrubs. But it should give you some idea as to the variety of things that can be grown in the setting you describe. One thing to keep in mind: is the shade caused by structure or trees? If it's from trees, your ground may be shady and DRY. Don't plant something that requires constantly moist conditions unless you're prepared to spend a lot of time watering. A lot of people mistakenly believe that shady conditions automatically mean moist conditions. Not so under a lot of trees, as the roots will take up most of the water available.

Oxalis, iris (if you have good drainage), physostegia (obedient plant), clematis, daylily, hollyhock, Buff Beauty rose, Bonica rose (probably any of the Meidiland shrub roses but this is the one that I have), sedum, dianthus, achillea....
