Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)

I just recieved plants I ordered from a website called www.3sistersgarden.com!!!! Wow were the plants huge! I ordered Rudbeckia nita/ herbstonne, Virginia mountain mint and Solidazo fireworks. They were shipped bareroot, and they are huge. Looks more like 3-4 plants in each bag. The prices for plants are from $4.00- $6.00, and I believe seeds are $1.00 a pack! I am definitely going to order more!!! sue SEE UPDATE BELOW!!!!!!

Thank you for the tip! They dont even charge shipping on the seed packets. Do they charge it on anything? That is a nice price. I will definately keep them in mind if I feel the need to order anything else this year or for next year.

They did charge shipping for 3 large divisions, it was $5.00. I did not mind at all when I saw the plants. I also told the girl about DG and she e-mail me back that she was joining and may start trading soon. I'll find out what her dg name is. sue

The people there seem very nice. After seeing this post the other day, I tried placing an order. Thier computer would not accept the order, so I thought I'd try later. A few hours later, I got an email from them about the problem. They said they would resolve it and let me know how much the bill would be for the seeds. This morning I got an email that the problem was fixed and they were shipping the seeds free of charge. That was awful nice of them, considering it was only a stupid computer glitch.

Frank, thats great!!! I bet now you wish you had ordered more. (ha-ha) sue

I just wanted to make a little update on 3sistersgarden.com! I just recieved seeds from them (no shipping). Toni told me that at the end of the week they will be adding wild lupine daylily and lots of wildflower seeds. They really have great plant's and seeds. Most seeds are $1.00, so you guys really need to check them out! sue

Checked out the site yesterday evening, there are a few types of seeds I would just love! I have sent them an email to see whether they will send seeds to Canada....still waiting to hear back from them. Ahhhh...you guys in the States have such a HUGE selection of sites you can order seeds, bulbs, plants from, all I can usually do is look and *drool*. LOL!
Just got an email back from them,
"Monday morning I will visit our local post office and give you an idea of the
postage for shipping to Canada. Since we ship seed in padded envelopes the
cost should not be too great ... chances are there will not be a fee for you.

If you would like to order, please do. And not to worry if a shipping fee
does come up since we waive the fee after shipping. "
Yippee!!

Wendy, let me know, if they don't send to canada, maybe I can get them and send them to you. I have never sent seeds to canada, do you think it would be a problem for me to mail them to you??? sue

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I heard that the problem is NOT because Canada fears getting contaminated seeds from the U.S. but that most U.S. companies are too lazy to handle the difference in postage when shipping to Canada. In fact, I have heard of a couple of other companies that ship to Canada and if I can remember them, I'll send them to you....

I ordered from them a while back, and as I was placing my order I mentioned that I was disappointed that althought they had a picture of pasque flower on their website, they had no seeds for sale. When I received my seeds, there were pasque flower seeds and a note that they had run out to their garden to get some for me! and they did not charge me for them, either. This company is definitely tops in my list !

The site in question doesn't charge for seed shipping.

They are the best. They are now on cindy johnsons garden catalog list! What ever you ask for they will deliver!!!!! I sure hope they get some time to do some trading here at DG. Toni signed up but just has not had a chance to jump in and check out DG much. sue

I checked it out and see the seeds at great prices but could not find any plants. Did I miss something or is it that they only offer plants at certain times?

Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)

There is a menu on the left that says list seeds or list plants. There were aster's and daylilies available most of the other perennials are for spring shipping now I guess. If you e-mail them for something you are looking for Toni will let you know if they do carry it. They offer ALOT of perennials in the spring. I bought:
tennessee coneflowers
giant coneflowers
wild nodding onion
prairie false indingo
virginia mountain mint
solidango fireworks
cutleaf conflowers
geraniums
and I know a few more I just can't remember. They were pretty big clumps. I would say 2 gallon size. sue
