I was looking up Super Sioux on Totally Tomatoes and it said it was semi-inderminate. What does that mean? Thank you

Don't know for sure, but can offer a guess that it means the plant will continue growing, but not sprawl the way indeterminents do.

Determinent varieties all ripen at once, and it might be that these tend to do that as well.

Why not contact Totally Tomatoes and ask?

Hi Vernon, your question had me stumped...I pulled out my Totally Tomatoes book and looked through it carefully. On page 27 they explained "Indeterminate Short Internode". Maybe this is what the Super Sioux would be...It says that "The ISI varieties have been developed, which combine the controlled growth habit of a determinate with the unlimited production potential of an indeterminate." Interesting to say the least, I might have to give that one a try. Lisa
