Gardening going full throttle here on the Gulf Coast!
Blooming in the garden now: oleanders, daylilies, salvias, roses, black-eyed susans, blanketflowers, daisies, and coreopsis.
Bird migration seems to be running late this year, I suppose to due the later-than-usual spring up North. Yesterday, we spotted blue grosbeaks and blue buntings feeding on seeds in the pasture. The sighting really made my day!
Caterpillars everywhere! I have to be careful when weeding not to remove their favorite plants...today's caterpillars will be tomorrow's butterflies.
Planting and transplanting....my hands are calloused and perpetually DIRTY, but I live to dig in the dirt! It's worth it, though, when I sit on the bench and just absorb all this beauty that the Lord has seen fit to bestow.
Don't forget to wear your sunscreen and hat!
