I realize that most people who post here would probably not make THIS mistake - but a poisonous plant has been sold with labeling praising its edibility!

I first heard about this on a local garden talk radio program, as a local nursery was trying to locate the buyers of their stock of mislabeled plants.

That's some mistake! It's hard to believe that such a mistake could happen. The aconitum plants were labeled with the correct name but saying that it's edible is dangerous error. I hope that nobody is poisoned from the plants.
Mislabeling is one of my major pet-peeves. I find a lot of the larger chain stores with a nursery sections mislabel on a regular basis. Especially Wal-Mart & Home Depot. It doesn't do much good to bring it to their attention ~ because it's unlikely you'll find an employee that has a clue about garden plants and will take the initiative to correct them.
