Need help, please. I use a lot of the bush and trailing Lantana. My questions is: when it is killed back by cold, do I cut it back or leave it alone?

I suppose the real question is, does it bloom from the old wood or new growth?

I believe latana grows from new growth. I don't cut mine back until the new growth starts just so I don't lose them. The old dead stalks tell me where they are so that I don't dig them up when working in my beds.

Hi Lantana,
I have the trailing new gold pillared over two half brick walls in my entry way and they are just hard-down ugly! I think I'll do the dastardly deed and cut them back.
