Nyah nyah na boo-boo! I just ordered one!! (And if there are any left over I'll order another! Am trying to be polite here by not hogging too many of them!)

Thanks Trish...I know how much you enjoyed this project! You're the best!
Thanks Coco...if it weren't for you we probably wouldn't be getting this opportunity!

And Dave...Thanks for all!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

How are the measuring units in the book? American?

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

I just placed my order too!

Harford County, MD(Zone 6b)

I've got my order in for two...can't wait.

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

My order is placed

Evert
There are many web sites that convert US measure to metric

Paul

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Would love to order but later could not afford it right now. This is great book and pretty flowers on it. I am sure everyone here is so happy! =)

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Paul, yes but it would be so hard, always when making something I should convert everything. ;)

Evert, the measurements are entered in the same way as the member put them in. So, your own recipes will be in your own metric system, while all the other recipes will be however they were originally submitted by the member. You'll have to complain one-by-one to each member who contributed to the cookbook. There's a list of acknowledgements on pages 3 and 4 that should get you on your way.

Oh.. :D Hmm, well, I have to think, maybe I order one when I get hungry. Just made some Hungarian noodle soup and ate it all :]

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Hungarian Noodle soup? sounds yummy! (better be in the cookbook Evert!) (and if you ate it all then it sounds like you better increase the volume!)

Niles, MI(Zone 5a)

Orders in, can't wait to "dig" in and cook

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Just placed my order! I'm looking forward to "cookin' up a storm" :~)

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Shoe, well, the Hungarian noodle soup... it was a Maggi's bag soup I bought from Hungary :] They were cheap there and they are very good. :}

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Evert, just a suggestion, why not print a copy of measurement conversion and place inside the cookbook, if u happen to order one. that way u don't have to be looking for it all the time. just a thought.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

I would need a calculator anyway... you see, all recipes don't use full cups, pints etc. ;)

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

most recipes came into being by accident. normally i do not use measuring gadget in my cooking, mostly calculating ingredients to balance the flavor, the reason why it is so difficult for me to give out recipes. actually, cooking depends on one's taste bud. what suits me might not suit u, flavorwise that is.

i learned cooking from my grandmothers, who never use any measuring implement... they just know the right combination of ingredients to put together. i normally look at recipes to get an idea of the right combination since i can not restore everything in my head.

am sure, between ur mother and grandma, u will get all the help u need. let ur common sense be ur guide. that is what i tell my son when i taught him how to cook :). am sure u will find a way somehow ;).

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Yeah I know, but when there are measuring units, I am not familiar with, it is pretty hard. And metrics are so different. I still can't understand how one english glalon can be 4 quarts and 4 uarts is 8 pints. =/

Anyway, I have learned from Kool-Aid how much is one US quart and cup.. :}

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Lol Evert!! On one of your travels maybe you could find some measuring spoons, if you know the cup & quart, that's about all there is!!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

I have to get american measuring spoons really.. Maybe they sell them in England atl east if I ever go there. Have to ask some shops in Helsinki.

:)

Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

How much does the book weigh? :}

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

evert if youre not able to buy US measuring cups and spoons there, just let me know and ill see what i can do.
they are so cheap here that it wouldnt cost much to send it to you.
please dont let that be the only reason you dont order a cookbook.
jen

Evert: US $21 will buy the book and the shipping to you. There is a link on the cookbook above for international shipping. Hit that link and you can buy your book.

It weighs about 15 ounces (425 grams hehehe)

dave

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Jen, I've already had 2 offers of the spoons, so you don't have to send them :)

Dave, is the shipping airmail or surface? (just curious)

It's Priority Mail, which I believe is faster than surface. Surface is 4-6 weeks (did you know that?)

dave

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Yes I did and I have also experienced it.
Once my chocolate took over 2 motnhs to arrive in USA.

Want to take this opportunity to say a great BIG thank you to Dave and Trish for going ahead with this project and for the many, many long hours and all the hard work that they have put into this project in getting it finished. Appreciate it more than you'll ever know.
Also want to thank each and everyone of you who have submitted recipes as well. For without all of you, this never would have become a reality.
(hugs) to you ALL.

Tilton, NH(Zone 4a)

My order has been shipped today! Yea! now I am looking forward to it eagerly!

Thanks Dave and Trish, and everyone else!

Bel Air, MD(Zone 6a)

Just placed my order.

Pittsburgh, PA(Zone 6a)

What CoCo says goes double for me. And you my dear deserve a thank you also. You give and give and give and ask for nothing in return. Big THANK YOU to all three of you. It's a shame that there aren't more like you in the world today. It would be a better place. You're welcome to my garden any day, any time. ((Dave, Trish, CoCo))

You're the best!! "T" :)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Ordered mine and I am looking forward to receiving it. I know that an enormous amount of time and work went into this and I appreciate all the effort.

Dave . . On the form that is filled out when ordering there is only enough room for a 5 digit zip code. I could not put in my additional 4 numbers. I am required to use the additional numbers and maybe others are required to use them also. Maybe you could put some additional space. I hope mine gets to me without extended zip code. Thanks

BrugNanny: Just email me your 9digit zipcode and I'll make sure it gets on the label. I'll also update the form later today to accept those 9 digits for future orders.

Mercy! EVerytime I get on this site more cookbooks are sold! Them things are goin' like hotcakes! I'm thinking I better order another one before ya'll buy them out (but at the same time I don't wanna hog them) (I have a feeling these are gonna be "collectors items").

Shoe: Go right ahead. I think we've only sold about 25% of our current inventory, so please order more if you're planning to!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)
