I know that you are experienced with growing Snail vines, so here is my question. I have pinched them back from the tops, will that make them bloom those lovely corckscrew flowers? or do I need to do something else? This is my first time growing these lovelies so I do need a lot of advice.
Cala I need your advice!
Try Email her she might not notice your post.
RR I have already got the information I need, beside she is so busy getting ready for her trip.
Ok Good hope you will find out more about Snail Vine, I need that too.
Did you plant the seeds I sent and how are they doing?
No Luck with seeds from you and I got rooting from my friend.
I didn't have to much luck with them either. I tried to nick the out seed layer and ended up damaging the inter seed so I just bought three plants to be sure lol.
rrm what happened to your cutting?
tiG, who you asking me or Wind?

Cala is on a camping trip for a couple of days.

OK, I finally found this. Some days I don't check all the forums. I have a little time to surf and some things get missed.
Soak the seeds overnight then plant them. Fresh seeds come up much faster than old seeds. Sometimes they can take 60 days to germinate.
Tip cuttings about 4-6 inches long root the best. Dip in rooting hormone, stick in sand, vermiculite or potting mix of your choice. Takes about 2 weeks to root and will bloom faster than a seedling.
This vine is hardy in the South, for those where it's not, bring it in and let it go dormant. Water enough to keep it alive, but don't overwater. It will lose it's leaves and look dead, but will regrow in the spring.
I pinch the tips out of mine to root, it's just now starting to bloom.
is it hardy in zone 7?
Cala your an angel, I didn't know exactly how to do the cuttings. I was surprised to hear that you could just take a pinch off the top. I am so glad you told me about the way they look dead, I would have thrown them in the trash.
((((BIG HUG))))
TiG, mine came back from last year, but the year before they didn't make it. Just mulch really good and bring in cuttings just in case.
