Just couldn't resist posting this! This is the first bare root plant I ever ordered. I always thought "bare root" meant that is just wasn't in a pot. Can you imagine my surprize when in April I got this hibiscus "Plum Crazy" and it really was BARE root! I have watched it like a hawk and its foilage has been so gorgeous I really didn't care if it bloomed...afraid of disappointment. But now its 3 major stalks each have 7 buds and they are getting ready to pop! I can't wait now. My first bareroot baby flower!
We're expecting!
How exciting, and it looks like it is going to be a stunner. be sure to post when they are fully open.
Congratulations on your first Bare root plant, I was taken aback when I first got a bare root plant too...
You'll have to repost a picture after the bloom. It gonna be a stunner.
I feel like I should stand out there all night and watch and protect it! LOL It's just been so much fun for me to watch this pitiful looking bare root thing grow into this wonderful plant!
is it a hardy or tropical?
Well, it came from Michigan bare root and I had to wait for them to be able to dig...and it is doing beautifully in Florida in the heat!
