Locust Grove, GA(Zone 7b)

I JUST GOT MY FIRST REALLY GOOD OPPOTUNITY TO GO OUTSIDE AND GET A GOOD LOOK AROUND...AND BOY WAS I SURPRISED! ALL OF MY PERENNIALS ARE UP AND BLOOMING THEIR LITTLE HEARTS OUT! THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR FOR MY BLEEDING HEARTS (WHITE AND PINK) AND I DO BELIEVE THEY ARE NOW MY FAVORITE! EXCEPT FOR MY COLLUMBINES--THEY ARE DOUBLE PURPLE, SINGLE PURPLE, AND SINGLE YELLOW/PINK...OR ARE THESE MY FAVORITES? MY YELLOW FOXGLOVES WILL BE OPENING SOON...SO I MAY CHANGE MY MIND AGAIN! I GOT MY FIRST ROSE BUSH---NEVER HAD ANY LUCK WITH THEM. MY RED DIANTHIS (FROM LAST YEAR) HAVE COME BACK AND ALMOST HURT YOUR EYES TO LOOK AT THEM. I GOT REALLY GOOD RESPONSE FROM MY FIRST THREAD! THANKS ALL--IT IS GREAT TO KNOW THERE ARE SO MANY FELLOW GARDENERS AMONGST US. I HAVE A NEW JOB AT A LAWN AND GARDEN SHOP--OH LORDY! THERE GOES MY PAYCHECK!HEE HEE! I CAN'T WAIT FOR OUR STORE TO OPEN AND BE ABLE TO SHARE AND GET ALL SORTS OF USEFUL INFORMATION! I PROMISE I'LL PASS IT ON! P.S. MOLLYBEE IS MY SISTER!

Susan, your not alone with your unsuccessful past with roses. I am the same "The Rose Killer"!! thats me. But I did bye one last autumn on a whim, called "Ballerina" it's a shrub rose, and to my amaizement, it's still there! Not only is it alive...its florishing. I'll let you know if i manage to kill it by the end of the summer.

daisy chain i dont think you will kill Ballerina its really hardy-its an hybrid musk not the softy softy HTs, i have it as well as the fairy, cornelia and prosperity, so if you want some more hardy roses pick them also buff beauty is another hybrid musk.
