eyes, what are you using? our population here is out of control yet again. when i let the chickens in to eat them they eat all the things they aren't supposed to eat. so i had to fire them. lol

guineas. ya'll need guineas. They really did a good job on my grasshopper problem...they'll chase 'em down and gobble them up! (They may also peck a tomato from time to time but I figger that is just payment for their services.) They also eat ticks too~.

But 'Shoe, the problem is I have a cat that would eat the guineas!!! Oh I was hoping this wasn't gonna happen this year since it's been so wet!! I guess I'll just get out the diazanone, and hope for the best!!

HAH!...a cat couldn't catch a guinea, they're the fastest things on the farm. Also, guineas tend to scare cats...it's a fun site to watch!

i had guineas they are the dumbest birds on the planet. they just beg the owl to eat them when they decide they have had enough of staying in the house at night. and they used to scratch just as bad as the chickens. i don't want to use the diazanon because i don't want to use that on my veggies.

I know........ya might try some vegetable oil, dish soap, and hot pepper sauce. I couldn't tell it helped much, but some swear to it!

Try a mix of fresh garlic and oil and water, blended together to liqufy in the blender, strained, then put in a sprayer. Works pretty good. I've added the dish soap and hot pepper oil, too, and it works good. Just don't wipe your eyes after!! :(

Here's something else I've heard. spray plants in morning (water)then while still damp,sprinkle flour over them in a fine mist.when they chew it's supposed to stick thier jaws together.
