Can anyone help me 'nurse' my redbud back to good health? It is approx. 5 years old and before last spring it was robust and beautiful. Last spring the flowers did not come out until some time in May (about a month late for our area..zone 4) and when the leaves developed they were approx. 1/2 the normal size. Additionally, there is a 'ring' on the ground around the diameter of the tree (about 15') that looks as if someone applied fertilizer (no one did). It is planted within 7-8' of a large maple, has 2 dwarf apples near it, and within 15' of another very large old maple. Bamboo grows profusely within 10' which we are trying to take care of early this year with roundup as soon as any green appears. Does anyone have any ideas on both the redbud and the bamboo? Thanks for your help as this is my first time on this great website!
