What a difference a day makes! Whew! This time yesterday, it was mid 90's and dry as a bone and the ac was cranking. Now it's cool and all the windows are open! Thank You Lord!!!!
74 degrees and RAIN
We've had rain, rain, rain, Vic. I wish it would come your way where you need it and leave us be. I've lost a lavender plant, some sweet william, some foxglove, and probably will lose some iris - it's just too soggy and things are rotting. :(
Come August, I'll be begging God to send rain, though, I know!
Same here Vic! Was sweating my buns off the last few days, then the rain and storms started about 5pm yesterday and finally quit this afternoon. Weather has been very pleasant, but too cold to hop in the pool. LOL And too wet to let the kids go out and play.
I was happy to see the rain. It was beggining to get a little dry here...at least the top layer of soil was. I needed some rain to get the ground wet again after I put down some mulch. It should stay moist longer now that I've mulched :)
I had a garbage can without a lid when it rained and there was no less than 3 inches in the bottom of the can when I dumped it out yesterday. That's a lot :D
we got 3" yesterday. all in 1 hour. we needed it so bad i just hope it soaked into the ground and didn't run off. i tilled up part of my garden and it was bone dry before the rain. i should see some growth this morning. my brugs had a good smell lastnight again.
