On my kitchen window I have several brugmansias (OK maybe 6 or 7) and nestled amond them a pot with a runner bean in it, and it has been just growing profusely. Yesterday I decided I was going to make new curtains for that window, so I took the old ones down, and WOW I could not believe my eyes, the runner bean had produced some blooms that were hiding behind the curtain.....They were a dark salmon color, and quite beautiful.
Of all the runner beans that I sowed(4 or 5), only one germinated, but it made up for the ones that didnt sprout and all the flats (of other flowers) that my cat ate.
Just wanted to share my first bloom of the season with everyone.
Happy gardening
