Spring has sprung, even in Alaska. Here is the flower bed on the south side of my house. The tulips were those economy packs from Costco last fall. We barely got them in before the freeze. I'm glad we did!
Spring in the South Bed
That's a really beautifully composed photo Carol. They were surely a 'best buy'!
And are those trollius back right? I love those too.
Such pleasure to be had from the simplest things in life.
Yes, it is a trollius, or globe plant as we sometimes call them. I'm afraid I'm going to have to move it, since it is overshadowing my Johnson's Blues. Our tulips don't always survive our wet winters, so I usually plant a big bag of them each fall.
That is so nice, Weez! I tried tulips again this year, but I guess it's just too darn hot down here to get anything out of them. The leaves sprouted to about three inches tall, then shriveled up and nothing. :-( So can I adopt yours? LOLOL! I especially like the building behind them.
Just beautiful, Weez~
Weez! These are soooo much prettier than the "Actic Tulips!" LOL! Truthfully, these are really great! My tulips didn't do all that well this year, partly due to weather and partly due to me forgetting them last fall. I think I'll add some new ones here and there this year.
You know, Penny, I've just decided that the bulbs aren't going to winter over well, so I replace them every fall. These were some bulbs I bought at Costco last fall.
