I am so sad :(

(Zone 5a)

Since we have been having the 30 degree dip at night I have been breaking my back trying to keep my plants covered. The other night when the weather was up to 45 degrees for the low night temp I didn't cover my plants and yesterday I woke up to find my tomatoes, bell peppers, helotrop, two of my brugs, one of my dbl white datura, red dragon, and cockscombs all dead.
I am fighting to save the following plants, space saver watermelon, pink lady slipers, powder puff plant, cup and saucer vine, black eyed susan vine and a few more plants.
I only had a few space saver watermelon and red dragon seeds so I will be keeping a close eye on these plants and pray for the best.

I'm sorry to hear about your plants Kit. That's very odd, mine were all outside and my pepper plant, tomato, vines.......all are doing great. I even have some squash in one corner that made it through the low 30 temps. I hope the stuff that you have left will thrive for you.

Tig, Red Dragon (Asarina X Wislizensis) it's a vine.I would love to have a cup and saucer vine and would be more than happy to send postage. Do you happen to have the dark puple one?

Flow I am in a lot of open space with very little trees to block the winds so that may be the reason mine didn't survie. I don't understand it any more than you do, because I thought they would be fine with the temps in the 40's....go figure?????
