I have an Abutilon 'Marion Stewart' and it is about 18" tall. It has done just great, blooming profusely but now it is losing its bottom leaves and most of the other leaves have turned brown on the tips. It is in a 6" pot but I read where they like to be rootbound a bit. What could be doing this??? Thanks.
Abutilon
Sounds like it's gotten too dry. I keep mine in 12 inch pots and still have to water. I plant them in the ground and they do great, even are hardy here. Mine bloomed till Christmas last year.
Dale,
In our FL heat, you will need to water everyday, sometime twice a day for small pots! I would suggest that you plant it in the ground or transplant to a larger pot.
Tim
Should I trim off the leaves with brown tips? That will make it a real skinny minnie bean pole, but it doesn't look too good the way it is. Could I bring it inside where it is cooler?
