If Wintermoor's finesse w/words is also used in the garden then that is gonna be one heck of a showpiece!! (Either that or it is very obvious there is much use of manure in both categories!) HAH!
Well said Wintermoor!

SHOE!!!!
Nice come-back man!!
Isn't it strange?... the various replies you get from different posts? ... almost 500 people are paying members of the 'club', Dave's Garden, and sometimes a bit of eloquence dosn't go wrong. Let people sit up and think about what you've written..... sometimes ;-)
If we were all one-sided then there would be no room for a bit of humour, yes even in the most serious threads..... good to see you're on the laff side M8.

All the 'maters best

Ooooh, I love it when you fellows talk like that! Yes, Wintermoor, your posts often make us think a bit. Make that a wee bit.

Aimeč, my pearl,
some people will be looking at some of my 'non-botanical' posts, scratching their crusts, (Scottish: heads), and asking themselves what this nut is all about!!!
I love it, cos it sets the brains-a-workin' (a man called Doug Kershaw (Louisianna musician) said that to me once).
I am just as serious as anyone about their, or my wee bit, of this world, which (whatever) God has given us to look after.... but also to have a laugh.. even in the most 'serious' posts... my humour is not that which everyone wants, but I think it's great that 'Shoe jumped in, cos he's just as daft as I am (albeit just as serious) cos that's Dave's Garden..... so we're singing and dancing now :-) :-) :-)
Sorry I can't make it to the round-up, but they've just cut the bus route from Hamburg to the Southern States, OH BUGGER!!! and I thought I could jump on a bus and meet you all (those airplane fares is much toooooo much), och well, maybe next year....

You knew Doug??? (The quintessential Cajun man.) What a showman! What a nice jerk! I knew him a little when I was in broadcasting way long time ago. He cut a promo tape for us, was really likeable, and I was always happy to be backstage when he did a show because of his funny private lyrics. In his own way, he was both loose and intense. Like most entertainers, he could never be depended on, but when he arrived he was always welcome.

Not many...really don't have alot of time to goof off! But wish I did! :o)

Aimeč
to which song were the astronauts wakened before they had the wee walk on the moon? ... 'Louisianna Man', and who wrote it? ... Doug Kershaw... Yes I worked with him on various festivals, but that has nothing to do with this thread..... so.. BE OFF WITH YOU WOMAN!!!!!
I'll send you a wee mail 2morrow Aimeč

Sorry folks, pleeeeeze keep the thread going, cos it's a good one.

All the best

I think you take a chance at sacrificing quality when you're so wound up about quantity.

smiln, I wondered if I was just a sourpuss, but you put it so well. I always heard that one should be certain one has something worth saying before opening one's mouth to speak, and it's the same principle. Sometimes I wish I could put a post in a "unsent" file and mull it over to be sure I want to hit "send", without losing it when I move to something else.

Just 60 for me since last October, but I'm more like Aimee ~ more of a responder than an initiator. But it's just so much fun to watch a thread unfold like this one and join in!

Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

I've started 115 threads all but 5 I think on the farm life forum. Really I gotta branch out more.
