In 20 days I can plant these outside! Yippee!!!! I am so ready to have my kitchen back again. This picture doesn't even begin to show the whole kitchen, just a small portion, and it looks the same from almost every angle. You can only see a small portion of what's growing under the growlights too. I'm counting down the days to 'plant out'!
20 days!
Joan, I know that feeling. I was never so glad to get plants out of my house!!!! looks like you have really done well there, congrats!!! your garden is going to be beautiful.
You & Me both Joan!! It's getting closer. I just got a winter storm watch in my e-mail. They're calling for 4-8 inches tonight. Makes me want to scream!!
Sometimes I think I can hear them crying, "Let us out!!! Let us out!!!" I've been carrying them outside when we get nice weather during the day, and drag them all back down to my basement at night. My neighbors must think I'm NUTS!! Can't wait!!!
Celia
They do scream to be let out!
They even jump out the window if given the chance. I was washing windows outside earlier this spring, and had the screens off. Some of them really did jump out the window! Landed in the flower bed under it. I just assumed that was where they wanted to be planted so that is where they will stay!
Everyone is now out side somewhere. Got tired of hearing them chanting. LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT!
They always gotta have their way! LOL!

Your neighbors may think you are nuts now but when your garden is lush and beautiful they will be regreting that they didn't join you in this insanity!
Way-to-go, Joan!
Those plants look terrific! :-)
Lucky girl is all I can say.....maybe one day!! So healthy looking Joan!!! You must be doing everything properly!!
Are those the Caladiums I sent you Joan?? I sowed mine direct just a couple of weeks ago......you really are gonna have some great beds along that driveway!

Thanks everyone. These plants are taking over the house. That's why I am trying so hard to get some more beds built. If I could just figure out where I want to put the beds I can have them ready by the time I can plant these out.
Today I noticed that the sedums I planted last year are growing and the cold doesn't seem to be bothering them, so I planted the new sedums today, along with the onions and garlic. I'm still searching for what else can go outside now. I see some iris outside coming up, so I'm looking very seriously about putting the ones I have potted out too. The hostas are what's taking up most of the room, but I think it's still too early to put them out. I don't know how much cold they can take and mine from last year haven't started poking up yet either.
Eyes, What you are seeing in the picture is elephant ears. I haven't planted the caladiums you sent me yet. I'm going to plant them directly into the garden when it warms up a bit more.
