Does anyone know...

I have been looking for some creeping thyme(thymus pulegoiide) and camomile plants and can't seem to find any. I would like to have the type of camomile you plant you can walk on like the creeping thyme, I am not sure of the latin name for the camomile, and would appreciate some help on this one.

If you are looking for the non-flowering, apple cented form it is: Chamaemelum nobile 'Trenegue', this is a clone and you can't buy seed. The other forms of C nobile are flowering and will require cutting from time to time but can be grown from seed.

I made a Chamomile lawn once, may it rest in peace. You need an incredibly well drained area and constant weeding.

I ordered Chamomile from Flower Scent gardens and Red Creeping Thyme from Parks Country side Gardens ( 2 for $8.94 total ). The Chamomile is the short ground cover sort.

Try Richters...they have a variety of thymes in plug form. I have ordered from Richters and they ship fast and well packed! Also mountainvalleygrowers.com have a huge selection of thyme! Can't vouch for them as I have never ordered from them.

Thanks all, I am trying to find something that will cover some real hot sunny areas where the grass is a little bare plus I would like to grow it in between the stones in the front walk.

windy have you thought of sedums???

(Zone 5a)

You can't walk on sedums, I want to fill a few cracks in the stones in the front of my house. Maybe I should try moss, now why didn't I think of that before..duh!!! Now I have to find a recipe to create my own moss.

I just got a very large order from stepables...they are very nice to deal with and their plants are very healthy...I can vouch for them! They told me that HGTV was filming them this week so get in there before the whole world knows about them!!!
