I got a rooted Pink Flowering almond bush. Do I plant it in a sunny location or shade?

sun, sun, sun. I had mine in the shade for years, just thought it didnt' like me. Got to DG and started reading and found it liked sun (never listen to Mom about plants!)
I had 4 bloom this spring. in the sun

I hope mine will bloom in part shade. If not, it will be another gift to my daughter or daughter-in-law. tiG, does it have to have a companion to flower?

I just LOVE flowering almond bush! I moved mine a few years ago to a spot that's
shaded by a very rambuncious rose but it still gets enough sun to bloom well. I sure
hope you don't have to give it way Woodspirit (unless you'll be visiting your daughter
or daughter-in-law a LOT in the spring!)
