Need help figuring out if its sunny or shade

Plymouth, PA(Zone 5b)

OK heres the deal:

In the morning the sun is in my back yard... usually stays until around 1:00 or so....
Then the sun makes it way around the right side of my house and ends up in the front Usually between 2-3.

So my question is.... Do I put a Sunny or a Shade garden in the front of my house?

Thanks

Sunny garden tamlam!! The front of your house will receive the hottest part of the day so it's plants for sun that will do the trick.

Thanks Louisa

Thats what I thought but I wanted to be sure.

Agreed! That must be southwest, very strong sun. I have roses in such a position, and they hardly even lose their leaves in the winter! John

yep John thats what it is... SW... Glad to know that Roses work there. Anyone ever try peonies in there? Think they would be ok?

Must account for my buddlieas doing the same - never dropped their leaves at all!! Mild winter too!! tamlamb I grow a lot of grey leaved plants at the front of my house which gets the heat too - even Rosemary retained it's leaves!! But the creeping Rosemary died. Must have been less hardy I think!!

Peonies will work there, as well as roses

Oh yes, ideal spot for Peonies! I also had a Butterfly Bush in that location which did not lose its leaves. Other good perfromers there were Phlox and Daylilies. John
