Looks like a money maker to me' I'd go for the 2bucks and see if they move out' Listen carefully to the shoppers and watch their reactions too while shopping. I'd offer them as "gardeners special" or make some notes sayin'"great gag gift"lol' Bet ya get some interesting remarks too on you're idea' Oh,how 'bout a sign saying "please help,I'm a new entremanure" like entrepreneur'LOL''

Entremanure!!!!! LOVE it, Sis!

Farmgirl, those are great! I wouldn't be at all afraid to put $2 on those. Maybe even three ~ it's the convenience they're paying for ~ not having to handle the poop at all. Then again, if you only have 50 cents in materials and it only takes two minutes to make one, $2 is a great money-making price.

i got a box of the tiny real manure teabags for christmas-Now where did I put them-in the cupboard(LOL)! Im going to be needing them in my plants! =]
Go for $3 and if they dont go then lower it to $2! ;]

Farmgirl,
That is a wonderful idea!! If you have a printer, you could make up some little tags with the instructions printed on them giving the people step by step instructions as to how to use the bags. Bet you will sell alot of them that way.

Ming, is your's store bought?? or fresh from the pasture?? I "think" they do this with the fresh kind don't they Farmgirl?? I could be wrong but I think they use the fresh and put it in bags and steep it kinda like tea, in a bucket of water. then you water your plants with it.
Maybe farmgirl can tell you exactly how she does it, b/c I haven't used any in years.

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

i don't know how they do it i read the thread in the organic garden forum and in the hyperlink poppysue just posted thank you poppysue. they said to use older composted poop. i will start out with $3 ea. and 2 for $5. that sounds good thanks ya'll. i made 10 bags just in case no one wants them. if they sell i will make a lot more.

Sharpsville, PA(Zone 5a)

Mine is store bought manure....If things are package just right. people will buy!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

I just got home from the mkt...and was wondering how you did!
It reminds me of when I used to sell manure tea! I made it from rabbit manure and bottled it in milk jugs. Sold each jug for $2 each (that was in '86) and people bought them up! (especially when you tell them it can be diluted down to ten gallons.) Hope you were able to tell them how much "tea" your bags would make. And by the way, if they didn't sell today just keep taking them...people will start talking and asking about that stuff...and then wish they'd have bought some!

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

i sold 4 today people were amazed. lol. they never saw anything like it. well me either before you guys told me about them lol. i printed small cards with directions and pinned them on each bag. eggs didn't sell as well today but my plants sure did. so did my lettuce i sold out of that quick. even traded 2 doz eggs for a pie. good trade lol. oh i did sell the bags for $3. each 2 for $5.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Yayyyyy!!!! Congrats!!! sounds like you are in the click!! (clique?)
And just think...your bags won't go bad...you can take what you didn't sell next wk! Sounds like you better push 'em!

Sharpsville, PA(Zone 5a)

great job farmgirl! Its a stinky job but someone has to do it!!
glad you did good! =]

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Awesome! You go girl! Ditto what Notmartha said, except out of all the "S" words, I wouldn't use "stinky." ;-)

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

thank you thank you. lol. i think the sale of these things should pick up, if they work. :)

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9b)

I read the link about what amounts of manure tea to use per plant...can you over do it? In other words, will it burn? Can you use it on container plants? What basically is the ingredient that makes it useful? So many questions...so much time!! LOL.

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

Farmgirl, what a great idea - I have a feeling your sales will pick up - just bring them to sell every week and let word of mouth do the selling for you.
DaleP6, I believe it is used for the nitrogen content it adds to the soil.
