Spraying gardenias

My gardenias have black mold on the tops of the leaves and aphids?(those furry white critters)on the bottoms. I have heard 2 different things with reguards to spraying...50/50 bleach and water or dishwashing soap and water(how much soap to how much water?). Which is the best first line of attack??

I have never used bleach but have put a drop or two of dish soap with alochol and water 50/50
if its real bad I don't mess around use diazinon spray
