What is it going to be

Burlington, NC(Zone 7b)

Peter,

My church's congregation have held the Queen Mother and the Royal Family in our prayers this past week and our condolences to the country for the loss of such a wonderful individual. Two of our parishiners are British by birth and we are standing close to them as well. Indeed they first offered prayers for the homeland in our intercessions for the world. Our hearts go out to you. In tenderness, God Save the Queen.

I noticed that Princess Anne broke with tradition and walked behind her grandmother with the men. It was sad, especially seeing Di's boys walking that walk yet again!!

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

When I was an adolescent, my brother died in an auto accident. A few months later, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. I can recall feeling so terribly oppressed by all the sadness, having just begun to feel some relief from our own personal tragedy. I feel compassion for Di's boys.

I suppose the brighter side of this is that the Queen Mother led a long and interesting life, and now she will not wake to the creeky joints and labored breathing of old age. She has run her race, acquitted herself well, and left behind good memories of her stay here on earth. I'd be pleased to do so well.
