Request for information

I have a few packets of seed which I simply can't find much relevant information on. One is Bensonia oregona, which is a USA native in the Saxifrage family.

If anyone has any personal experience of this, I'd be interested to know more. I've run web searches and there is very little info out there.

TIA

Baa,
I've never grown this, but I looked through all my books and found only one small description in Hortus III, I searched and found some interesting info at www.dfg.ca.gov
I don't know how to to hyperlink, but look at this site, I think you'll see why you can't find much info about your seeds!!!

Thanks for your post and the link. I knew it was listed as rare, sometimes people grow these kinds of plants to help in preservation of the species or do consevation work. I was hoping someone here had done such a thing.

Thanks anyway.

do your search there in 'advanced search' and match any of the words. http://www.dfg.ca.gov/hcpb/species/jsp/ssc_result.jsp?specy=plants&query=Bensoniella%20oregona

Interesting reading, great job BJT!

Baa, try bensoniella oregon, that came up on the USDA plant list, but they aren't much help with details.

Thanks a lot for everyones help. I've tried both Bensonia and Bensoniella with very little joy. I know its rare, its a Saxifrage, it lives by water and it comes from Oregon. I've also pulled up the same site a few times in my search :)

I guess no one here has grown it or if they have they haven't visited the thread.

Thanks to you all for taking the time to look, much appreciated :)

Thanks for your input Troy
