malva fastigiata?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I'm planning my spring planting, and I got these seeds in trade, but the package isn't marked so I can't ask the person who sent them to me, since I goofed up and didn't write it down on the package. I'm wondering if anyone has any information about this so I can plant it in the right place?
Annual? Perennial? Zones? Height? Pics?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Thank you MaVieRose! You know just the right places to look, and I'm in awe of your ability to do that. How DO you do that? I can search for hours for one plant.

Thank you so much. You're a sweetie!

u're very welcome Joan =)! it very simple: use google search engine or the plant database - using the exact title u posted. voilá!!! both search engine will give u choices to pick: that is where the big headache begins... finding the right site to recommend. time consuming though :(.

i appreciate very much ur acknowledging. it is always a pleasure to give a helping hand. btw... try the database, maybe u'll recognize who sent u the seeds u've got ;)! u'll be surprise how many of them have those seeds.

I tried Plants Database and came up empty handed. I'll try again though. I always forget about google. I keep trying to use my local ISP's search engine, since that's what comes up. Dumb huh? I need to train myself to go to google and skip the local ISP search engine.

Thanks again.

MaVieRose or JoanJ: If it isn't in our database, it looks like there is enough info on that hyperlink to add it...probably under alcea. It would be an nice addition.

WZ... if u click on the 2nd hyperlink, go to the 2nd page u will start seeing what is on the Plant Database like this one...http://davesgarden.com/tl/Tj/viewentry/4808.html , http://davesgarden.com/tl/phloxy_lady/viewentry/11127.html ..just to prove a point.

Okay - I added it the PD http://plantsdatabase.com/go/2650.html I always thought that 'Fasigiata' was a variety of malva moschata but I see that's not true. Apparently malva moschata and m.alcea are very similar but still different species… Alcea is a bit shorter and has slightly downy foliage.
