Those of you that have them-- gimme the pros and cons, please. =) I know it depends on what they are made of, but how warm do they really stay inside on a cold night?

I wouldn't say they are warm but they are shelter. I can't think of any cons except space limitations. They are handy for sowing seeds which need a period of cold, they get the chill but not so many of the pests or the rain. Cuttings do well in them that require an extra bit of warmth in spring or autumn and anything you can do in a cold greenhouse can be done in a cold frame. They are great for over wintering plants which don't like winter wet or the winds. They are also easier to hide in the summer than a greenhouse, less trouble to build and great to hardening off those seedlings in spring.
