The ones I started outside didn't or haven't yet come up. The ones inside are growing like gangbusters. harden off and plant out now?
sweet pea ?
Hey tiG...How are you??? All the sweet peas I planted are outside in containers and have all come up. I'm ready to stick them in the ground. They survived those 15 and 17 degree nights so I would say yes...harden off and plant. But remember - I'm pretty clueless.... :-)
Are you talking about perennial sweet peas or the annual kind? Annual, can't help. Perennial, I have tons and they grow like weeds. Smell sweet too.
I'm geography impaired, so please excuse me if I ask a stupid question...if you've had a rainy spring, and the spot you planted doesn't drain well, they may have rotted. As for the ones indoors, if they are getting big and you want to wait awhile to plant them out, you can pinch them back a bit...that's for the annuals. I have no experience with perennials, since they don't grow here.
