Sari....I think I would just invest the funds into some frames, and go from there....you can do it, and if the money is there it will show itself! He's profiting from tried and true ideas that you can get RIGHT HERE!!

I saw this book somewhere, don't remember if it was at a yard sale or used book store. I thumbed thru it and didn't buy it. I wish I could remember more. I agree with Eyes and Paul, buyer beware!! I started my nursery business in my back yard, didn't have a book to go by and we're still in business (although it's 3 miles from my house to the green house now) 15 years later.

What I am trying to do is gather as much good info as possible to help me get started.
I really think I could make some nice money raising plants.

Last year I had a garage sale and I sold some of my perennials that I no longer wanted. I made about $400 in one weekend. And you couldn't even tell I had sold anything!

I am going to have a plant sale this spring and sell off most of my plants and try to start raising plants to sell. I have about 400 lilac starts. I have a chance to get a 2000sq ft patch this spring. I also have 100's of cutting from other plants as well.

This week I am going to be ordering about a pound of lupin seeds (Band of Nobles).
I am also looking at purchasing seedlings from Lawyers Nursery and a couple others. I plan to buy 2-2 (4 year old seedling) tree and shrub seedlings grow them for another year or two and then sell them.

Down the road with a greenhouse I would like to start a large variety of uncommon tomatoes, veggies and perennials. I would buy the common veggies and flowers from regular growers.

I also have an untapped market that I believe could be great. The very few people I have talked about it with agree.

When I think about doing this the steps are pretty clear to me. However I realize that problems happen. I want to learn from others mistakes and problems. And also learn shortcuts and better ideas.

Sari, you might try your library for books on how to profit from what you raise. It sounds like you have all the raw materials and a lot of the know-how already under your belt.

The thing that struck me about the website and the book is the resemblance to the "how to get rich from real estate" books and infomercials. I have always wondered if the people are earning more from actually doing what they talk about or from selling their ideas.

I would say the same thing. he is getting rich off things you already know. at what $40 a crack? WOW!

also you might want to try setting up at a local farmers market of flea market that runs every weekend the one i have a perminate stand at also has spaces for people that only want to do it a weekend here and there
