Lagenaria siceria seeds for percussion instruments?

Greetings! I'm a new member from Western North Carolina. I'm learning to play Latin percussion instruments and would like to plant some would like to plant some gourds to make my own instruments with. I understand that I need a variety of lagenaria siceria to make güiros (scrapers) and maracas, but I understand that there are several varieties and I don't know which specific ones to plant.

If anyone can help me I appreciate it, and of course I'm interested in trading/buying from anyone that might have the specific seeds.
