Not if it runs! I have several but they don't run. If yours doesn't run, maybe we can combine all of them and get a good one.
Grandma's first truck
Aimee, are you mechanical enough to do that?
Oh, I didn't mean I would actually do it, I would take it to Bruce, my mechanic! He loves old vehicles and likes to keep them running long after they should be junked. I just love that young man!
We have a chainsaw too!! Never thought I would see the day!!! What ever happened to that little English lady who used to wear a wide brimmed straw hat and be so immersed in her roses back home. Who used to walk to the shops and strolled down to the pub near the river on a warm summer evening. Who only owned one car, whose largest 'tool' was her secateurs and visions of America only came out of a book or the TV. Now look at her!! Firmly stuck in the red, oozing clay trying hard to learn about a new way of gardening, who drives a truck and wields a chain saw!! But who now takes delight in this beautiful country, it's critters and birds and mostly it's people and the wonderful, funny, warm folk here at DG!! So yes, watch out everyone - who knows when I might just pull up outside your front door in a bright Teal Ford Ranger.......lol!!........Oh Shenandoah I love to wander.....away you rolling river........
Margaret, please pull into my driveway in your teal Ford truck! Or you could drive it to Tennessee in the summer, just in time to celebrate Independence Day after the roundup. For that trip, you will need a camper top, to protect your new plants from the wind on the trip home. Or just a "cap", smaller top. Oh, you have morphed beautifully, little English butterfly!
.....just remember to stop by my place first....I'm the first one as ya come across the TX/OK or TX/AR borders depending on your route.....our fair English Rose....TX will never be the same!!
"eyes"
Come on over, Louisa! I'd better warn DH to watch out for a teal truck comin' at us down the road! Tee-hee! I don't have blue-tick hounds, but do flea-bits. ;-)
"Truck=haul. Chainsaw=maul." GOOD one, Aimee! Sure will do that in a heartbeat if you don't watch what you're doing!
Wow - 3 Texans - don't know if I can take all this pressure!!!! OK - I'll see what I can do........maybe a trip next year guys???
Well, wouldn't ya' know it ~ I was just fixin' ta' post about a plant swap get-together we're havin' out here in San Marcos. Wanna' come? It's in April. If not this year, then maybe next? They happen every year. Here's my page with lots more info: http://www.moment.net/~wingnut/swaps/swaps.htm
I have never been any further south than Jawjuh!!! Have never been more north or midwest than Chicago. I have been through all the states from Chicago to Jawjuh!! (Sorry couldn't resist that...lol). So it's about time I stretched my wingspan and started.......rollin!!!! I will check that link Wingnut!! Thanks!!
